Listed below are a few of the mods we've done on our CRF450RL Project Bike, including chain, sprocket, chain guide, and so on.
The D.I.D 520 ERVT Chain is a good pick for the CRF450RL/L thanks to it's narrower profile compared to other 520 size X-Ring chains, which can be slightly too wide, and will rub on the engine case behind the front sprocket. We like the Supersprox Stealth Rear Sprockets thanks to their aluminum and steel construction. The aluminum center section is 70% lighter than steel, while the outer part of the sprocket is made of steel and the teeth will last 4 times longer than aluminum. The Red anodized aluminum center with black steel outer section also looks very trick. With the stock front sprocket and new 48T rear (stock is 51T), the bike now is a bit more tolerable at higher speeds, since it's turning less RPM's than with the stock gearing.
We finished things off with Zeta's front sprocket cover/case saver, their chain guide, and heel guard / chain cover. Polisport plastic swingarm protectors were also added to help protect the swingarm.
