On a few of our project bikes, we wanted to try and reduce some of the vibration coming through the handlebars, which can make the bike more comfortable on long rides and help reduce hand numbness. One way to do this is to add bar end weights to the handlebars.
We've had good luck with the Barkbusters Teardrop Bar End Weights, which work with many of the Barkbusters brand of handguards, but we've also been able to fit them up to the Zeta Armor Handguards and Adventure Armor Handguards we use on many of our bikes. They will NOT fit the Zeta PRO Armor handguards unless you remove the plastic bumpers attached to the outer edge of those particular handguards. So far we've installed them on our Honda CRF300L (shown above with Zeta Armor Handguards), and will be adding a pair of them to our Tenere 700 (with Zeta Tenere 700 Adventure Handguards) as well.
What you get with these are two teardrop shaped bar end weights, which fit right over the edge of the handguards, and also a variety of long mounting bolts to attach them. These long bolts will replace the long bolts used to mount your handguards, and will thread right into the handguard inserts in the ends of your handlebars.
