We've had the Flatland Racing Skidplate installed on our WR250R for a few months now. Fit and finish is first rate and the welds are about as nice as I've seen on a motorcycle part.
The skidplate itself is made of rugged 3/16" tig welded aluminum, and features a built-in clean out slot and an oversized oil drain hole, which makes draining your engine oil a breeze. Unlike some of the other skidplates on the market, this one has holes drilled in the front of it.
Of all the WR250R skid plates on the market, I think this one offers the most engine protection since it wraps around the sides of the engine more than the others do. I also like the holes drilled in the front of the plate, which might actually help get more airflow to the engine... plus it looks very cool. I've done a couple oil changes since installing it, and the oversized oil drain plug is plenty big to drain your oil without making a mess. We've only done a little bit of off-roading with the bike so far, but I can actually hear things hitting the skidplate, so I know it's doing it's job. Since protecting the bottom of the engine and frame is pretty critical when riding off-road, I think this is one of the first things any WR250R owner should buy for their bike.
